PRP
Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham
PRP is a form of regenerative medicine that works by taking a small sample of your own blood, which is then placed into a centrifuge to separate the concentrated platelets. These platelet-rich plasma injections are then delivered into the targeted area to stimulate natural healing and regeneration.
For the skin, the growth factors in PRP stimulate elastin and collagen production, helping to thicken the epidermis, improve texture, and enhance skin tone.
For hair loss, PRP increases blood supply and stimulates dormant hair follicles, helping to regenerate and thicken hair.

Reviews from our clients
How does platelet rich plasma (PRP) work?
Consultation
The first step involves having a consultation with one of our expert doctors. Our doctor will assess your area of concern, expectations and create a tailored bespoke treatment plan for you. Most of our patients will have treatment(s) on the same day, but you can defer this for another date. Our doctors will proceed with a consent process and explain the procedure.
Treatment
The PRP treatment involves taking a sample of your own blood. The sample is then placed into a centrifuge to separate out the concentrated platelets, which are then injected into the desired area of treatment. To maximise patient comfort we use numbing cream and a very fine needle to deliver the treatment. The treatment takes approximately 20 minutes to deliver however 1 hour is scheduled to accommodate for consultation, preparation and post treatment advice.
Aftercare
After the procedure, your doctor will go through the aftercare, which involves no alcohol, exercise, makeup or touching the treated areas for the rest of the day. A comprehensive aftercare guide will be provided to you and discussed in detail on the day.
